There's nothing wrong with the tap water, even if the sink looks nasty just let it run for a minute and it will be clean enough. I've drank the water from some pretty disgusting bathrooms in long-abandoned buildings and never gotten sick, so I'm sure that any legitimate venue will have perfectly safe water.
