My first faint memory of the one like Gobstoppa was at Hullabaloo 2 Year Funtopia, at the end of the night when I was trying to track down my friends so we could make the long drive back to Mississauga. Pete came up to me and told me that I was on the Hulla video. He took me over to the booth, and sure enough, there I was.

In 2000, when I was just starting out, he gave me my first break, sharing the microphone with me at numerous small parties. He gave me advice on promoting myself, networking, and MCing. When I MCed my first headliner, I returned the favour by sharing the set with him. Since that time I've grown and changed a lot as an MC, but I still owe so much to him for where I've come from.

He was there at my first gig in the US, supporting all the way. At Sail Away we tagged our first ever Hullabaloo set, and it was off the hizzle fo' shizzle, but ol' Gobstoppa wasn't at the top of his game, in his own opinion. He's in full effect at Back & Forth, and so am I.

Jumper

I first saw MC Jumper at an ATM party, the headline MC. I first met him at Sounds of Madness when not only did he hand me the mic for a bit, but upon chatting for a while in the "VIP room", he offered to let me stay at his house if I was ever in Rochester.

In 2002 he intro'd me at More Bounce 2 The Ounce, which was recorded, and started the ball rolling on my partnership with DJ Wolf. He then got me booked at my first ever US appearance in Niagara Falls. He's always been front and center, rocking out whenever he's in attendance.

He's intro'd all of the biggest events in my MC career. My first set after a two year absence, both my US appearances, my Hullabasendoff and Hullabareturn, my Hulla residency, and Lord knows what else. He won't do the teapot rhyme for me any more, but that's just fine by me.

Kwik

I first met him at some small party or another, just before he was starting to throw Holiday events. He was always willing to share the mic with me over the years, and I've done the same.

When I was starting out, he always had good advice on how to promote myself, and the benefits of partering with a DJ, as evidenced by him & D-Minus.

Let's not overlook Bob though... he is to MCing what anthems are to Happy Hardcore and he's always able to get my spine tingling with that aetheric rushy feeling (and before you say it, I don't mean drugs - I'm a card carrying alcoholic and proud, and you all know it :P ).

Mike and Pete are at the top of their game too, and I think the inclusion of Ian would bring the major hardcore MCs of North America together for a truly inspiring performance.

And although he's new, MC Rukkus deserves a mention... that boy has talent and a half. I expect huge things.

I agree, Jumper has the ability to get a crowd going. His verses are easy to remember, making them easy to croon along with. (thank you Gobstoppa :P) I've only ever heard Joey MC once, but he was on quite a bit, anyone with that kind of endurance definately is worthy of a shot.
