ok seriously Frolic
you need to book the man here are some reasons:

*he's got the new CD coming out "This is Noize"
*his tunes are on various record labels including Blatant Beats
*his style is perfect for Hulla - upfront, trancey, happy & soulful
*you haven't booked him yet!!!!!

Barrett deserves to be booked at Hulla, it's that simple....I mean, playing at Hulla is kind of like getting an award for service in the electronic music culture. His devotion to the scene and the high energy music he creates are a credit to the electronic music culture and he should be honored accordingly.

i dunno, i have the feeling frolic already knows exactly how he wants the final hullas to happen, and no amount of yelling or begging or rumpshaking is going to change what the lineups look like

I think it would be great for Barrett to play at a Hulla. I don't think Frolic will book him because he played WEMF this year, and if you remember..."Those that play WEMF will have to wait longer to play Hulla..." or something to that effect.

*shrugs*

I'd also like to add that I think of all the American HHC dj's that could be selected to play one of the final few Hulla's, I hope Barrett is the one.

Cheers,

Jare Fox

i'm saying that frolic has two more headliner spots to fill

i know that if i was in his position and i was asked "two more hullas, who headlines?" i'd probably have two names ready fairly quickly, and im sure he already knows who he wants, and in order to get them for sure he's probably contacted them as well.

yea it was. saying i hope he gets to play or i want to see him there is optimistic. on the other side of the cookie is i dont' think it'll happen. by definition its pessimistic. besides about having only 2 headliner spots to fill. i might point out that at accelerator ac slater and kevin energy were both what i would call headliners. why can't there be more than one? especially when one doesn't need to be flown in?

Sunrize at Hulla gets my vote, and there's no reason there can't be a UK Headliner as WELL as Sunrize so I think it's completely possible

no. you just gave two statements that aren't opposites and tried to say that they were. the opposite of it won't happen is it will and the opposite or i hope is i don't.

you hope he plays. i do too. i think, more than any hhc dj from anywhere in the world, if any of them SHOULD be at hulla, it's sunrize.

i'm saying that going ooh ooh ooh is unlikely to change what is most likely an already-set path. hopefully that path will include sunrize. but i doubt a petition or whatever other viewers-choice dealie is going to be the deciding factor on that one.

Ah so grasshoppah. But look at Back n Forth's lineup.

notice anything?

Pete and Raoul?

both performed at wemf. both are playing this coming party.

and barrett, seeing as he is from several hours away and hadnt played at a hulla before, and wasnt in the loop to hear about the whole wemf/hulla thing, would be exempt from it would he not?
