On a few other boards there's been a lot of arguement about headliners. No headliners at Hulla vs a whole list of em at WEMF. The problem with wemf is they'll throw out random names to be printing on the flyer, or for word of mouth and sometimes those "headliners" don't even exist outside their minds.

For me, it's a no brainer. Sure, WEMF is big, and long, and they'll obviously have more djs but come on. Does anyone remember last years hardcore stage? We were dancing in a pool of mud (and who knows what else). Ontop of that, I'd rather go to a Hulla where the vibe is guaranteed to be intense and positive. WEMF just doesn't mean as much to me as it used to, and not nearly enough as Hulla does.

I thought about this a lot since I heard that the two are on the same weekend. At first I was really pissed because.. its just... a very unfortunate thing to put everyone in a situation where they pretty much have to decide.

I have nothing against the people who throw wemf, and yes they scammed chris out of money, but you know what, that has nothing to do with me. So I hold no grudge. Believe it or not I dont go to WEMF to see the headliners. I really could care less. Last summer I didn't even end up seeing half the artists I wanted to, you know why? Cuz I was too busy having a complete fucking blast with my friends. I go because its an excuse to take work off, be complete drunk and stupid with my friends for a weekend, and its a lot of fun and something to do. So rather then sit here and bitch about Destiny being assholes etc. suck it up people and grow up already. I have so many memories from WEMF that can be replaced by nothing else, BUT hulla is also very important to me. I have sooo many memories from Hullabaloos that also can't be replaced. I just say everyone stop the bitching because its really annoying and pointless. I for one am going to both for sure. Driving up to WEMF Friday, coming back Saturday for hulla, now I realize not everyone can do that either money situation or ride situation but if you can, then shut the hell up and do it. Thats what im doing anyways, Hulla is very special to me and I wouldn't miss it for the world, but you know what, WEMF holds just as special a place becuz i've also met a lot of good friends there and just had amazing times. Thats all I gotta say

Cant wait to see you all

I tend to disagree....WEMF might be the place of some amazing memories for sure but why support them in particular when they are other options for similar events you can attend. I to love the camping aspect of WEMF and the hanging out with friends...but I'm not going to give my hard earned money to Destiny anymore. They simply don't deserve it.
I'm going to create new memories and good times at OM or teknival.

I said I didnt know who this No Left Turn nobody is. All of a sudden I am being accused of "not hardcore". I turned around and asked this chick if she knew who Mike Slammer was and she made out like he was some guy with a bad reputation. Not one of the founding fathers of HARDCORE.

As far as being disrespectful to Hulla. Anyone who knows me knows that although a troublemaker, no one loves Frolic, Hulla and Old Skool Happy Hardcore the way that I do.

Not knowing who this poor man's DJ Spree is, isn't exactly shameful.

Obviously spree should be bigged up but NO Left Turn makes hardcore completely different. I assume you know the famous tracks and all, but not to mention the fact that he will take 4 of them and mix them at the same time?@??@ If you havent heard him you definitely should. Here.

It could likely be argued that much of this happy hardcore we love has no business in the same court as the hardcore a company like Nightmare pushes. Maybe I was just tired, but on Devil's Night I spent most of the UberDruck Boys set right by the tables and it was seeming like it was just boom boom boom and not enough variation.

uberdruck isn't hardcore... they're trance/hardstyle

so that might be where you're running into difficulties?

you should've been upstairs with krome, man

but either way... omar santana is the hardcore nightmare was pushing that night, not uberdruck

and d-minus IIRC

No Left Turn > Mike Slammer

I mean, I bought a couple of Mike Slammer records. By accident.

It will be no accident when I snap up NLT's releases on KFA.

Meh, I'd love to do both but it may be too hectic (and expensive) for the people I'm bringing. A shame too. I had lots o fun at wemf last year. Met some really cool cats. Oh well. I wasn't about to miss this Hulla for anything.

you find out more about teknival by waiting until there's anything to find out and then checking here (maybe) or torontoraves (for sure)

it'll be a bit of a wait considering its in mid july and doesnt involve marketting campaigns

"NO LEFT TURN > everyone else very very very very VERY far behind" i disagree for one reason: Luna-C

I prefer NLT, but Luna-C is definitely comparable

Well, you're right in a way...Luna-C is a madman

K, NLT & LUNA-C > everyone else very very very very VERY far behind

fin!

wait, who wants to see NLT VS LUNA-C?!??!!?

That'd be chaotic
