You're only accounting for American soldiers, who have been lucky enough to die. Who's counting the number of people who lost body parts and body and brain function?

I see veterans of our past wars on the street every day. Some with out legs and arms. Some have completely lost their minds. They're homeless and filthy and they have no where to go. It's the saddest thing you could see. The lives of these men have been completely destroyed by offering to protect their own country with the one life they have. That same country can't even be bothered to feed these men and give thm shelter.

Give it 15, 20 years from now. If the fucking planet is still spinning there's going to be a whole new generation of broken soldiers on the streets.

What about all the innocent civilians killed in Iraq and Afganistan? Last time I checked the estimate was around 10,000 murdered. What about all the orphaned children? Do you think the american government is going to take care of them? Are you?

This war effects so many more than AMERICAN SOLDIERS. How goddamn insensitive and ethnocentric are you? To fucking say that 1,500 is the actual human cost of this war is absolutely ridiculous.

The jacket i wear out everyday on the streets is a Canadian Paratrooper jacket. (i get really weird looks from the peeps in the Forest Hill Loblaws when i do my shopping..they all like to shop wearing Ralph Lauren and fur coats)

It's really sad. Unfortunately information outside of how the US troops are doing isn't so easily available. A person needs to activly seek something like that if they want to know. That's even sadder. Maybe this guy would actually know what was going on if the media stopped covering Michael Jackson and Marth Stewart for 5 minutes to tell us something worth while.
