cant use it for parties, i went there a couple weeks ago for a meeting with the owner. she won't do anything past 2am. also it will only hold 1000, not enough for hulla.

very nice space though.

ps I've always thought going to a party without relasing any of the DJ's playing or the location. Dont relase the location untill the day of. I think it would be cool not knowing untill you get there. And you know hulla would bring the goods and definatley not dissapoint.

HEATER OUT

The flyer could just be a big ? with a slash across the top so it looks like the :h)

Just an idea
I would go

to whomever said that the law is that you cannot serve alcohol past 3 or 1:30 are both wrong.. the cut off time is 2:00 am which is last call. so to whomever said that 1:30 is the law, then every bar and club in toronto breaks this law.

as for venues go:

i think the thought of having Funtopia 4 at the same venue as Funtopia is cool. Try and bring back the Dj's from that line up (cause i know some are retired). it would be like Hulla: revisited.

justa thought

Something about throwing a rave in a church, where many kiddies will be messing up their bodies with drugs doesn't sound too proper

But anyhoo, yeah, I was getting bored of the Docks too for a while until I started going to parties that weren't held there and realized how much better parties are when they are held at the Docks.

It does get a bit tiring going to the same venue but let's face it, IMO, the Docks is actually a perfect venue.

Anyways, good luck finding something. Later.

i think the hamilton venue is a good idea too.. the mad science guy made a fukin deadly happy hardcore room out of the arena.. and had room for a techno and trance stage as well... in the summer the capacity is fine.. as long as you take advantage of the lot... and it is totally out of the way.. no noise problems.. (its in an industrial district)...

you cant have the MEGA main room.. like your usual format.. but if you want to throw a killer party your true fans will enjoy.. this venue it the shitznik..

looking forward... v..abstractdatatype

what about the el macambo or the kathedral??
they would both make decent venues and can hold at least 1500 each

Wheelies

Wheelies in Oshawa would be a BAD place for a party for so many reasons. Mostly because you'd have a lot of young people who don't party going to a party there. And we all know how the younger people like to do them "ecstasy rave capsuls" and make out in dark hallways.

How about the Tropicana then? Multiple floors, though I don't really know if it would suit. Wherever it is, Hulla RULES!!!

I think High Wire was the last party there ever.

There weren't many people, but it still had a stardust quality to it. (Heat, flooding)

That out in the field idea is pritty cool, but it could rain. Better living center is good in the summer. try there.

palais royale

You should use the Palais Royale Ballroom. I just went there for the first time this weekend and it is sucha n amazing venue. It's legit too. It's great for the summer because the outside patio is huge. It would be a great venue for a hulla party. It comfortably holds a couple thousand people with plenty of room to dance, walk around, etc.

Jane and 7 bingo hall!

Now this place kicked ass! I remember walking into hulla there, looking into the main room from the washrooms area, what a scene.. lots of heads, good vibes.. and BLUE! There were a couple others there i believe (hardsounds, liquid).. all of those partys were wikid at that venue!

Still looking into the outdoor rink .. it is NICE, took another look @ it. Does anyone mind porta pottys? How big is the docks main room in sq feet? anyone know? I Found out the size of this outdoor rink - > 200x100 feet i believe.. big enuff?

peace!

MATTY IT WAS ME THAT SAID 1:30

BUT... CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG... CLUBS AND BARS ARE SUPPOSED TO STOP SERVING AT 1:30 BUT PEOPLE CAN DRINK UNTIL 2:00 WHEN ALL ALCHOHOL MUST BE COLLECTED AND DISCARDED!
HMMM?

AND TO EVERYONE ELSE... FROLIC CANNOT USE NEW VENUES... IT IS NOW UP TO OTHER PROMOTERS TO DO THE DISCOVERING AND HIM TO FOLLOW... THIS IS NOT AN INSULT TO HIM IN THE LEAST HE JUST OBVIOUSLY CANNOT AFFORD TO TAKE THE CHANCE... DIGITAL IS A GOOD IDEA... HOWEVER THE PLACE HAS A TERRIBLE REP WITH THE COPS TO BEGIN WITH AND TENDS TO DRAW A STRANGE CROWD... A SLIGHT STEP UP FROM 1 ISSABELLA!

DIGITAL HOWEVER SOUNDS BEST SO FAR.. THE OTHER VENUES SOUND GOOD FOR OTHER PARTIES... THE RINK WOULD PROBABLY GET NOISE COMPLAINTS EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE ONLY A FEW HOUSES... (PARTIES ARE LOUDER THAN YOU THINK(THINK ABOUT FREAKIN 99 AT THE DOCKS... BINGO HALL IS GONE... LIQUID ADRENALINE 4 YEAR I BELIEVE WAS THE LAST PARTY TO BE HELD THERE... IF ANYONE WAS THERE FOR HARDSOUNDS AND THEN LIQUID YOU'LL REALIZE THEY HAD ALREADY STARTED THE TEARING DOWN OF THE BUILDING(ONE LESS WALL).
KWIK- AS FOR THE CHURCH ALTHOUGH THEY SAID THEY WOULDN'T DO PARTIES... I BET IF THEY HAVE THE QUESTION POSED TO THEM BY PROMOTER AFTER PROMOTER THEY MAY CHANGE THEIR MINDS... THAT'S THE WAY IT USUALLY HAPPENS...

HEHE FOR BITE THE BULLET 1 WE ALMOST AQUIRED THE BRUNSWICK HOUSE AT BRUNSWICK AND BLOOR... THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN FUCT!

ANYWAYZ...CYALL L8R!

The time for serving alcohol is 2 AM.

They must have the tables cleared and all alcohol cleared from he floor and tables by 2:30....most clubs ae a little leaniant and don't enforce it strictly til its closer to 3 though.

Smile Luxor?? or Automotive Bldn?

Hey I remember soundclash at luxor it was really decent for a venue . Clean really nice decor etc.
or I know city venues are a bitch and expensive for POD's etc but I've never been to the automorive building for a party but I know parties have been thrown there in teh past.
I think that would make a reawlly good venue as well. its roomy and the balcony looking down over the floor would be dope. just my 2 cents.

or For all the cambridge crew. hit the knob hill farms here in Cambridge for hulla. its huge! could hold thousands of ppl and do a few rooms. w/o a problem. tonnes of parking and its rihgt next to the 401.
on well one can dream right.
bye
Peace
Mike.

I've accepted a booking with Liquid Adrenaline for June 23rd so that will officially put an end to a hulla party on that date for this year unfortunately. (but the liquid party looks great!). Keep the venue suggestions coming though, you never know what might happen
