there is some sort of big race that weekend in toronto... and some other big events.. it's the weekend after canada days as well.. plus near 4th of july in the states.. rates were really high last year as well... i ended up getting right downtown for the July event... and my room was 189 CAD a night for two nights... that is pretty cheap to what i've found other places.. i would NOT rely on priceline or other discount sites for this date... b/c they will definately be sold out... the hotels downtown will surely fill up.

as always we will have a big huge room to share if anyone gets stuck..
