Well actually, from what I've read of people in the "meaningful threads" thread. People on here don't want to know since this is an escape from reality for them.

again I say; IGNORANCE IS BLISS.

hahaha I like you even though you wore that hat

I read the "meaningful threads" thread, and I thought of this thread. (I need to find something else to do at work but whatever) Even IN THIS thread people can't seem to grasp that it's NOT about raves. Thousands of people getting murdered has absolutely nothing to do with raves or being a junglist or whatever the hell else people want to equate it to.

example:

*adds maple syrup for some extra sweetness, shugah*

As for the wearing of the "camo" thang...
haha. i mean, yes, besides all the funfur, feathers, hemp, and sequins,
you should see my wardrobe.

Hello Everyone. My name is Pixy Lee, and i am a camouflage addict.

The jacket i wear out everyday on the streets is a Canadian Paratrooper jacket. (i get really weird looks from the peeps in the Forest Hill Loblaws when i do my shopping..they all like to shop wearing Ralph Lauren and fur coats)
So why do i wear this?
am i afraid war is going to break out in a Subway shoppe, or in Toys R Us
*i mean post christmas season* ?

No.

't's cuz i'm a junglist souljah,
fightin for my life,
doin' battle wit da bad vyybz
'n' tryin'a get it right

oh yeah. and the jacket is said to be comfortable in weather up to 45 degrees below Celcius, which means i'm more than good on days like to day. BRRRRRRRRRRRR! its COLD!!!!!

WHAT?

the 'camo' thing.
i was responding to a comment made re: people wearing combat gear in public places. (i am not in the military, but i do get alot of flak for wearing surplus items and camo on my daily errands and such):

apparently you don't understand the reason of the rhyme...being a raver, or junglist, or whatever isn't just about partying you know, or making a fashion statement.
it's about taking a certain set of values/ideas and expressing these via your thoughts and day-to-day conduct in the streets.
i know i can't help out all that much with what is goin on in Iraq, Sudan, Afghanistan, 'the Tsunami Zone," the USA, ect. apart from signing petitions, protesting, educating myself and others, and staying up-to-date re: such issues...i'd donate money to the causes but i can't even pay my bills on time
You wanna talk 'meaningful issues?" OK.
How'z about the daily destruction of the Amazon (bye-bye possibly miraculous medical advancements...hello tribes without homes, animals without habitat, soil erosion, pollution, oxygen depletion), destruction of the Canadian Boreal Forest for (!) toilet paper (Boycott Kimberly-Clark Co., makers of KLEENEX brand products...they're the worst for this, and start using 100% recycled fibre tissue products) , the big push to drill in the Alaskan Wildlife reserve for oil, landfilling a sensitive coral reef to build a U.S. Airbase off the coast of Japan, the Tsunami-aided child-sex-trade in Malaysia and Thailand, the lack of Human rights protection in China (have you even read about what is going on with the Chinese gov'ts monitoring of the internet?), the Canadian gov't continuing to screw over our First Nations Peoples, Chickens having their beaks cauterized prior to being confined in a little over 1 ft by 1 ft cages so they can't kill each other/themselves when madness and depression due to their living conditions sets in. (all you people who eat KFC...yea. i'm talking to you. I've seen the videos. little baby chicks all yellow and cute and fuzzy like to ones you see at Easter being held up *i can't believe a human could do this* and beaks pressed to a searing hot iron, once the beak is burnt off they toss them carelessly into a basket and they are sent to their cells to suffer til they are killed and prepared for your table)...
Animal rights. Human rights. Earth Crimes. Women's rights (hey all you in the USA: let your gov't know that politics and theology have no right when it comes to a woman's right to choose...let'm know that Plan B over-the-counter emergency contraceptives should be made available to the public Bup Bup!). you want me to go on?

i do what i can over here, in my country/province/city/neighborhood/circle of friends/family to spread good vyybz and awareness.

so "WHAT?"

does that answer your little question?
PM me if you wanna discuss,
i'm game.

BOOYAKA.

Some woman drove up to me about a week ago when I was walking to a record store and said, "Hey there, you look like you like adventures and extreme stuff!" I replaied, 'sometimes' and then she asked me if I ever considered the army, 'No, I'm pacifist' Then she tried explaining to me about the medical division and all that jazz, and I said no thanks, and started walking down the street again, only to be pursued for another 30 seconds or so, but after I just ignored eveyrthign she said, she eventually drove away.

hah, that sucks. I remember when I was in high school and got a call from the army. It went something like this:

me - Hello?
army - Hi, I'm <insert name> from the Army Reserves and I wanted to ask you a few questions.
me - Ok
army - What sort of post-graduation plans do you have?
me - Uh, college
army - What are you planning on majoring in?
me - Architecture
army - Oh wow, that's interesting. What kind of a GPA do you have?
me - 3.6
army - Nice. Do you play any sports?
me - Cross country, and indoor and outdoor track.
army - What sort of times have you run?
me - 17:03 for the 5k, 9:58 for the 2 mile, and 4:46 for the mile.
army - Oh wow! <shits pants> that's amazing. Have you ever considered joning the army?
me - No <click>

It was so satisfying to to build up his spirits and then smash them all down.
Yeah, I have a bit of an ego.
