Spectators

While I do know there's a lot of people who've never been and who are eager to get a chance to see what they've heard so much about, and I'm happy a lot of these people will be able to, can anyone else relate to hoping that the ratio of oldies to newcomers is high?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who remembers some nights where the number of not-quite-committed newbies was so high that half the party seemed to be standing on the sides in totally boring clothes just watching rather than being the party...

I have the feeling a lot of you will be making it out though.

I'm gonna be getting my ticket and then finding out later whether I'm able to go... so long as I'm not in BC, I'll be there.

and if Lori ever coughs him up, Shmee should be too

I am bringing a Hulla newbie that I introduced to raving about a year ago. He absolutely loves the scene and has heard me ramble about Hulla. I would never bring someone to Hulla that I knew wouldn't appreciate it.

I figure its going to be FANTASTIC to see everyone again, no question. Thats 90% of the reason I'm going. However, I'm in the same boat as PlurrySkittles, I talk about hulla a lot and have lots of stories, and I would like some of my friends who I just introduced to the scene to experience just a piece of that that, it's their last chance! They will finally understand what the stairs of death are :P

I am concerned about it...There was a pretty small percentage of this at AGT but it is still sad to see and I would prefer to not have to see newbies really messed up

no, it just means when you are plastered out of your minds people generally talk about it more 3 years later on message boards.

I drive some of my friends crazy when we listen to sets from Hulla. If I listen to Frolics set from AGT I cry.... every single time. I still have not made it to the end of that set. I don't think I will ever be able to hear Heart of Gold without getting choked up.

I put my gf through the same thing. She has no clue as to what she's getting herself into with this event. She's NEVER been to a party, nor does she know ANYTHING about PLUR and all of that other fun crazy stuff. So we'll see what the outcome is!

the way i see it, as long as people are having a good time and are not killing the vibe, then it's all good.

Me and my girl going to be Newbies and we are planing to dance are ass off sober or fucked up . How we are , if feel the vibe we are more fucked up.
I have been to parties sober and people think i'm fucked up because i'm acting a ass and having fun. It's not what you take that makes it fun it's the vibe, i'm hoping vibe is there....

i'm bringing some hulla newbs, but not party newbs. they're going to be floored, cuz i don't think any amount of me rambling can really prepare them for this. it's going to be amazing
