The next Hulla is currently booked for Saturday November 9th. That's the first Saturday that's available at the opera house. That would mean one more Hulla this year after WEMF.

There was a Friday available in October, our usual Thanksgiving weekend. If we threw a party in October we could also do one in December (on a Saturday) as well and get 2 more parties this year.

I'm nervous of Friday's just because so many people come from out of town and I'd hate to lose their support if they couldn't make it up on a Friday. Our last party happened during July 4th weekend, and the summer as well so it made it easy for Americans to attend. The Anthems was an inexpensive party to throw since there wasn't a UK guest. If we had a visiting DJ it would be really important attendance is all it can be since the cost of the event just lept thousands of dollars.

I usually don't like asking for input on the net, but I really can't make up my mind about it. Does it matter to you? And no I'm not looking for "find another venue" responses, as I've said many times, there is no where else better and the choice is to throw it there or not throw it at all.

idd preffer the november one, personally, boo7 is in october and thats farkin expensive, and retail isnt likely to want to let me off either 2 weekends in october, or for a weekend in december. blackout periods suck. so if it was up to me, idd say the november one, just because hulla's are so my life, *not really i just like to attend every one possible*.
friday was a fine slot for me, but idd say with the school year saturday is probably more feasible for those of us driving from way out of canada to get there in time and not be exausted for the event. did it once, dont wanna do that ever again.
so go with saturday, and november.

and the opera house is fine, Chris. so long as there is a hulla it could be in the middle of a cow field for all i care. someday when we CAN have another venue, idd like to see what else toronto has to offer, but the operahouse is fine, and its nowhere near as dirty as some venues ive been to stateside.

hmmm now that i think about it November would not be sooo bad because having them sooo offten takez the excitment out of them i guess... Both optionz are great!As long as there is atleast 1 other hulla this year i am GOOD

I think that, being during the school year and such, a friday party may not get the attendance required to justify having an out-of-town headliner unless it was someone spectacularly amazing whom nobody has ever seen before, and even then it would be a risk.

i think if you have the 2 its alot better...one would be a saturday still...so the ppl who couldnt go to the friday one could still go to the saturday one...so they still get to go to a hulla...and the ppl who could go to both could go to both! simple as that, but if you have only one on the saturday night it means only 1 hulla even for the people who could make it out on a friday night...it doesnt hurt the ppl who cant do fridays at all if you have two because they can still go to the saturday one...the same number they would go to if you ONLY had one on a saturday...i vote for definatly the 2 of them with 1 on a friday

I would like in november on a friday just so i can get friday off drive up all day get there party then drive home have a drivin partner hopfuly and have sunday to recover also Nov 20th is my B day so 9th could be like a rave B day for me ***drools***

ackk!!! damn not having enough money for everything, and damn not being able to be in two places at once!
I want to see paulina tailor and spinback on the 14th, and then theres cloudskipper & spree on the 28th too! i hope hulla has a really awesome headliner for that night, cuz theres a shuttle bus goin from ottawa to that montreal party... and I really dunno if i want to miss out on that.
